Upper No Name Creek

Weslake Inc. provided the design of a stormwater management system that included quality and quantity controls as well as the design of an ultra-violet treatment facility.  We assisted the City and affected landowners in deriving a cost-sharing agreement using the Drainage Act.  Construction management services were also included.

Ikea Site Plan – Burlington, Ontario

This project included the preparation of site servicing and grading plans for a commercial expansion project.  Construction management and periodic inspections were completed as well. We provided this service on numerous other commercial projects including various Tim Horton’s stores, a Famous Players Cineplex, a Zeller’s store, etc.

Botanical View Estates – Dundas, Ontario

Botanical View Estates is one of many residential subdivisions that Weslake Inc. is proud to have been a part of.  The work on Botanical View included planning, engineering, construction management, inspection and post-construction management services.

Chester Street Storm Outlet, Brantford

Glenwood Drive Storm Outlet, Brantford

The “Glenwood Drive Storm Outlet” was a stream rehabilitation project that included engineering design and construction management.  The Environmental Assessment process was followed resulting in Public Meetings and public relations with respect to residents in the project area.

Northwest Industrial Area - Brantford

Seneca Snake Root

We worked with the City of Brantford, some special interest groups and approving agencies to devise an environmentally sensitive plan for the Northwest Industrial Area.  This project is especially challenging as it contains some rare vegetation species as well as a “perched fen” area.  The “savanna” characteristics were also taken into consideration and preserved.  New technologies are being implemented in order to arrive at the most comprehensive solution.  Phase 1 of the project is currently under construction.

Gore Park Fountain - Hamilton, ON.

Weslake provided project management services to the City of Hamilton on the Gore Park Fountain project.  The new fountain was installed in Gore Park as part of Hamilton’s Sesquicentennial celebrations in 1996.  The project was spearheaded by The Fountain Foundation and the Head of the Lake Historical Society.  Weslake’s contribution included coordination of the various engineering disciplines and contractors from inception to completion of the construction and installation.  We are proud to have played a role in the reinstatement of a longstanding Hamilton landmark
